OVERVIEW
The meter measures voltage, current, power, power factor, frequency, and energy consumption (kWh). It can transmit data via RS-485 (Modbus protocol) to local monitoring systems and also send data wirelessly through Wi-Fi, LoRa, or RF modules to cloud platforms. This makes it ideal for distributed energy monitoring across large facilities. It improves visibility, reduces wiring complexity, and enhances energy efficiency management.
Working Principle
The meter uses internal voltage and current sensors (or external CTs for high loads) to measure electrical parameters. The analog signals are converted into digital data using an internal microcontroller. The processed data is then transmitted either through the RS-485 communication port using Modbus protocol or wirelessly to a central server or cloud platform. The system enables real-time monitoring, logging, and analysis of power consumption.
