OVERVIEW
The Energy Meter with CT provides precise measurement of active, reactive, and apparent energy along with voltage, current, and power parameters. It is ideal for industrial and commercial installations where direct measurement of high currents is not feasible. The use of CTs ensures safety, easy installation, and integration with monitoring systems, PLCs, or SCADA for real-time energy management and load analysis.
Working Principle:
An Energy Meter with CT (Current Transformer) works by receiving reduced current signals from an external CT. The CT steps down high line current (e.g., 100A, 200A) to a safe 5A level. The meter calculates actual energy consumption by multiplying the measured current and voltage values with the CT ratio.
